The host exchange
About 5 hours
of meaningful help a day, usually five days a week. Sunday is off, and the exchange includes free food, accommodation, learning, and inclusion in farm life.

Hosts describe the place. Members choose the experience.
Each host profile explains the farm, location, crops, projects, accommodation, minimum stay, daily responsibilities, and practical travel information. This helps members make an informed choice before making contact.
Organic farmers and institutions willing to host, feed, accommodate, and involve volunteers in genuine organic projects are welcome to apply.

The central principle
This is not cheap labour.
WWOOFing should benefit both host and visitor. People arrive for practical learning, language, culture, and human connection. Make them feel part of the household and project.
A good host experience
Clarity before arrival prevents problems later.
Set realistic expectations and describe the exchange honestly. Farms are different; transparency matters more than luxury.
Clean and clearly described
A guest room, dormitory, or tent can all work when the arrangement is safe, comfortable for sleeping, and explained before travel.
Simple, sufficient, and shared
Provide hygienic, nutritious free food. Cooking and clearing up may be shared, but free meal responsibilities should be agreed rather than assumed.
Start with a trial stay
Many hosts begin with a short stay of around one week and extend it when both sides are happy. State your minimum clearly.

The strongest profiles answer practical questions before the first phone call. Describe your project in your own words and include accurate travel guidance.
Complete host application
Farm and project
Farm name, location, organic history, acreage, crops, fertility and pest methods, goals, certification, and marketing.
Volunteer experience
Farm and non-farm tasks, skills needed, daily hours, minimum stay, learning opportunities, and seasonal changes.
Living arrangements
Accommodation type and capacity, bathroom access, free meals and diets, languages, children or pets, and household expectations.
Travel and surroundings
Bus or train directions, emergency transport, internet or phone limitations, and nearby places of interest.

Practical answers before you list
How long should a WWOOFer stay?
The choice is yours. A short initial arrangement gives both sides a natural review point. Many begin with about one week, while 4-5 day stays may suit travellers visiting several regions.
What accommodation must I provide?
It can range from a tent to a guest room or dormitory. It must be clean, safe, comfortable for sleeping, and described accurately before arrival.
Am I expected to cook every meal?
Free food is part of the exchange, but preparation and clearing can be shared. Continue your normal free-meal routine and agree shared responsibilities in advance.
Must I accept every person who contacts me?
No. Contact is an introduction, not an obligation. Ask about experience, dates, health or dietary needs, and expectations before deciding.
Will my private contact details be public?
Your profile can show the general location and farm information without displaying your email publicly. Specific details can be shared after suitable contact.
Host listing contribution
Rs 500
No contribution is required from small and marginal organic farmers below 5 acres / 2 hectares.
